The year in review

Hello !

I hope this post finds you cozy and at peace.

As we move into the last few days in December with the promise of longer days, I’d like to take the opportunity to give thanks to a year full of movement, new beginnings and many lessons.

This year, I was able to travel back to California and teach once again at Sonoma Community Center where I was greeted warmly by the new director of Ceramics .

It was wonderful to be back and be able to finally do pop-ups in some of the shops I have been most curious about.

I was also able to do an artist talk at Diablo College where Kala Stein invited me to speak. The facilities there are beautiful and I was impressed by all the glazes, kilns and beautiful slips.

Coming back to Taos New Mexico ( my home now) , I was able to start a new position of assistantship for Logan Wannamaker. This has been a full time position and this has made it so I feel like I have finally landed and feel most at home when I am absorbed by the demands of a studio of this caliber.

My hope is that in this next chapter, I am able to discover new surfaces, forms and finally go big! Or go home ! ( as Austyn Taylor says haha!)

Currently doing multiple Story Sales in my Gram so go have a look and please re share widely.

Reach out and let’s have a chat if you know me and are curious about it. And of course , even if we don’t know each other if you are a potter, I am sure we speak common language so don’t be shy and reach out.

Warm wishes,

Turiya
